Hey Beverly, love Damages too! I see you do reviews of TV shows. Are you professional or just very opinionated?

Beverly said...

Oh god not professional. I am on my way to getting my first book published. I keep the blog as a distraction an something to take my mind off endless re-writes.

Hi Beverly,

here's the latest update, please let me know if you can use it...

Legal TV drama Damages season 2 is back with a bang and, as we reach episode 3, the plot thickens with more twists and turns than ever before. Our podcast interview with Glenn Close and Rose Byrne continues, details of which are below.

Episode 3 catch up - Patty is shocked to hear evidence that Daniel previously assaulted his wife. Ellen finally uncovers that Daniel fathered Patty’s son, Michael, and reveals all to the FBI.
Local reporter Josh Renton uncovers evidence that UNR are polluting the local water supply but is accosted by UNR’s company assailants. Patty agrees to represent Daniel but he is arrested as he tries to leave the country and Tom discovers that Patty was behind it.

In next week’s episode 4, will Daniel come any closer to discovering who murdered his wife or will the evidence turn against him? Will Patty, Tom and Ellen ever get the evidence they need to confirm their suspicions about UNR polluting the water supply?

Don’t forget, you can download episodes 1-3 now on iTunes at http://www.itunes.com/tv/damages. Subsequent episodes will be available on iTunes the day after they’re broadcast on BBC One, Sundays at 10:20pm.

In this week’s exclusive podcast interview, we spoke with Glenn Close who told us more about Patty and Daniel’s relationship and what inspired Daniel to come back to Patty after all these years. We also spoke with Rose Byrne who told us what it felt like to have her character totally changed in season 2 and how working with the FBI is affecting her. As we reach episode 5 of Damages, Patty redoubles her efforts to punish Ultima National Resources (UNR) for dumping toxic waste and Ellen is more determined than ever to maintain the FBI’s investigation of Patty. In this week’s podcast interview, Glenn Close and Rose Byrne reveal exclusive insights into the show and discuss how it feels working on scenes they don’t know the outcome of.

Episode 5 catch up
The case against UNR is gathering pace. Patty is more determined than ever to prosecute UNR for dumping toxic material, despite Daniel failing to back up her claims. Knowing that UNR is seeking approval from the government for an upcoming merger, Patty hands over her files on the company to Douglas Schiff, the deputy director at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Even though Schiff has the evidence to halt the merger, he tells Patty that he’s been overruled by his superiors at the FERC.

At Tom’s tenth anniversary at the firm, Ellen returns to Patty’s apartment for the first time since the murder of her fiancĂ©. However, the FBI are concerned that Patty is becoming increasingly suspicious. Ellen is worried that the case against Patty will fall apart and that her collaboration with the FBI will be exposed so she leads Patty astray, telling her that she had been approached by the FBI but has refused to cooperate with them. Finally, and to protect Patty from further investigation, the hitman hired to kill Ellen during the Frobisher case is sent into hiding by Uncle Pete.

In next week’s episode
What lengths will Patty go to tie UNR to the murder of Daniel Purcell’s wife? What will be the outfall of Patty’s accusations and will Ellen link Frobisher to the murder of her fiancĂ©?
